Guided Imagery & Music UNLOCK GROWTH AND HEALING INCREASE SELF-UNDERSTANDING GENERATE CREATIVE BREAKTHROUGHS ENHANCE TRANSPERSONAL EXPERIENCES The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) was developed by Dr. Helen Bonny in the early 1970's. This is a music-centered, transfonnative therapy which uses specifically programmed classical music to stimulate and support a dynamic unfolding of inner experiences in service of physical, psychological and spiritual wholeness. The music takes the listener into the mysteries of his or her image-world. This releases lockedin feelings, recalls forgotten memories, provokes adventures, initiates fantasies, stimulates creativity and often provides religious insight and understanding. The GIM therapist maintains an active dialogue with the listener throughout the session, providing encouragement and focus for the emotions, images, physical sensations, memories and thoughts which occur.
