Lathi  "La Tee"  Lathi is an ancient martial art of India. A Hindi word meaning" Bamboo Sick," Lathi is nearly 6,000 years old. It shares many moves and principles with most other martial arts, with one major exception - Lathi works from the heart chakra. This higher energy source lengthens the body structure evolving a higher center of gravity and the vital energy-prana. Lathi is great fun and a good work out. Performed slowly, the rhythm gives Lathi a meditative Quality. Done at a faster speed Lathi is an excellent aerobic exercise.
